Westwood Plateau is a meticulously planned neighborhood in Coquitlam, British Columbia, home to over 15,000 residents.
The area has a rich history, having been developed around the former Westwood Motorsport Park. From 1959 to 1990, this race car track was a renowned venue, where legendary drivers like Formula One’s Keke Rosberg and Gilles Villeneuve, as well as Indy 500 champions Bobby Rahal, Danny Sullivan, and Michael Andretti, showcased their skills. Today, Hampton Park Elementary School stands on the former raceway grounds.

Today, Westwood Plateau is synonymous with more tranquil pursuits, with the Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club at its heart. Recognized as one of Canada’s top 100 golf courses, this club boasts an 18-hole course that offers stunning views of the Fraser Valley and the surrounding mountains. The facility also includes an executive 12-hole course, a driving range, a golf academy, and a clubhouse with a restaurant.
Beyond its golfing facilities, Westwood Plateau is a gateway to numerous outdoor adventures. Hiking trails weave through Eagle and Coquitlam mountains, extending into the backcountry. The nearby Buntzen Lake and Belcarra regions offer even more wilderness experiences, with eagles soaring above Burrard Inlet and viewpoints offering expansive vistas of Indian Arm.
